BORDER TO BAGHDAD connected visual artists from the US/Mexico border with their counterparts in Baghdad, Iraq in a series of Skype-based exchanges resulting in an exhibition at the Rubin Center for the Visual Arts in El Paso. The accompanying publication was designed to mimic the project’s premise; the book can be read from either end, and as the reader approaches the middle, the grid transforms into a more freeform structure that reflects the organic nature of the artists’ collaborations.
