Black in Fashion draws from the extensive archives of Women's Wear Daily (WWD) to celebrate the profound contributions of Black creatives in fashion from the 1910s to the present day.
In collaboration with WWD and publisher Union Square & Co., Morcos Key developed a design system that elegantly balances the history of the fashion industry—told through interviews and in-depth profiles—with striking imagery, creating a sophisticated and immersive experience.
Through a meticulously curated selection of more than 375 photographs, illustrations, and articles, the book offers a visually rich and historically significant tribute to Black style, influence, and culture.
The book spotlights groundbreaking designers like Stephen Burrows and Virgil Abloh, pioneering model Naomi Sims, and the ever-iconic Josephine Baker—along with many other Black trailblazers who have shaped and redefined the world of fashion.
